Potomac Shores VRE Planters [November 2024]

With a tremendous number of commuters living in and near Potomac Shores, VA, the forward-thinking developer has invested in a Virginia Railway Express [VRE] commuter train station to service this community and the surrounding area. This investment will take thousands of cars off our roads, especially Interstate 95 and US Route 1, and will be a huge amenity to the residents. In this phase, KT Enterprises [KTE] is filling large and small planters above the structure with a special lightweight soil mix, after installing drain panels, pipes, and gravel. We are able to use skid loaders while protecting the surface we are driving on to bring the soil to the planters, where hand work with shovels and wheelbarrows take over. It may not look like much now, but doing this part of the job correctly with experienced crews is critical to the plantings that will be installed in 2025.
