Springfield Parking Garage [November 2023]

This new thousand-spot parking garage in Springfield, Virginia will serve as a model for future multi-modal transportation centers as part of Fairfax County’s comprehensive plan. It includes spaces for buses, carpooling, an indoor farmers market, a rooftop patio and a pedestrian pathway over Old Keene Mill Road to connect to Springfield Plaza. Landscaping at the ground level was minimal. The key exterior feature, installed by KT Enterprises [KTE], is a trellis system planted with hundreds of vines that will create a multistory green wall to screen and enhance the building’s façade. Once the rooftop area is completed, we will follow up with additional photos to highlight the investment in this unique space.  An overview of the project is available here.
