Potomac Shores Riprap [April 2024]

One of the final internal roads, River Heritage Boulevard, linking the Potomac Shores community in Woodbridge was completed this past winter. KT Enterprises [KTE] was asked to perform a hands on task that normally would have been completed by heavy equipment. Hundreds of tons of riprap had to be installed by hand along the slopes of this stream crossing, because the site was too steep to safely operate any type of equipment. Teamwork and one rock at time got this unusual hands on project completed along with sodding to reduce the risk of erosion and sediment contamination into the stream that feeds directly into the neighboring Potomac River. KTE is always up for a challenge and has the people and resources to complete any project.
