Fire Lane Sodding [early May 2022]

Emergency vehicle access is critical and must be taken into account when planning for safe landscape designs. Grass ring pavers are a common solution, in order to have green space while still having reliable accessibility for fire trucks. KT Enterprises [KTE] installs several fire lane access roads annually. These photos show the gravel base being installed, then sod being laid on top of the grass ring pavers and immediately being watered to insure survivability. Most people will never know what is under this sod and hopefully this emergency access road will never have to be used.
